Due to the retirement of a long-term quality expert, we are currently looking for a detail-obsessed and quality-focused individual to complement our talent roster and safeguard quality at every stage of production. If you desire a balanced life at work and home, we would welcome hearing from you.

Reporting to the President, your focus will be:

- Review and interpret engineered drawings and technical specifications before production commences;
- Examine items received from sub-contractors before release to the production floor;
- Prepare documents such as compliance certificates or dimensional reports as per customer expectations and maintain quality logs;
- Utilize inspection measuring equipment such as calipers, precision tools, micrometers, and gauges;
- Investigate production issues that relate to matching technical drawings and value-add expectations;
- Prepare and manage non-conformance reports for leadership and production team review;
- Pilot methodical investigations and resolution of any non-conformance issues;




- Conduct final inspections to confirm the finished product meets the customer, drawing, and quality requirements before release;
- Reinforcecompany values and expectations in the work environment and maintain a high profile on the shop floor with a hands-on and sense of urgency approach;
- Interact with clients, vendors, staff and leadership professionally;
- Assistwith training of current and existing employees on proper utilization of measuring equipment and ISO Quality Policies and Procedures;
- Complete other special projects when assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:

George A. Wright & Son and our valued clients require an industry professional who is a team player:

- Experienced in a machine and fabrication shop environment or an engineering department of an OEM manufacturer with heavy machining capabilities;
- Established track record in a machine/fabrication workplace with 10+ years of experience that includes 3-4 years in Quality Control;
- Demonstrated knowledge of reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings;
- Educated at a University/College in engineering or possession of a Red Seal Machinist Certificate;
- Qualified in machine shop processes and an excellent focus on quality and precision standards;
- Skilled in decision-making, innovation and execution intelligence to get the job done right;
- Developed communication skills (writing, face-to-face, telephone, and listening) to elevate relationships with clients, work colleagues, and the leadership team;
- Committed to customer service, life-long learning, and expanding technical skills.

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
