Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable Payroll & Accounting Analyst for a full-time, in office role in Belleville, Ontario. This position provides day-to-day support for accounting andy payroll functions across multiple entities, and handles routine bank deposits and reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities

- Payroll Administration: Assists with processing scheduled payroll for multiple entities; validate timekeeping data, stat pay, vacation pay, and deductions; submit government remittances (CPP, EI, tax); and issue ROEs and T4/T4As in compliance with Ontario employment standards.
- General Bookkeeping & AP/AR: Enter daily financial data, journal entries, and transactions into accounting software, creating reports using Excel/Google spreadsheets; review, match, and process Accounts Payable (AP) vendor invoices and credit memos; and correspond with vendors on payment or billing matters.
- Banking & Reconciliations: Process bank deposits, perform monthly bank and trust account reconciliations, and handle routine cash management transactions and reporting..
- Deal & Administrative Support:



Assist with maintaining organized financial and deal records, prepare cash disbursement summaries, and assist management with month-end and year-end record preparation.

Qualifications & Requirements

- 2–4 years of practical experience in payroll processing and general bookkeeping.
- Proven experience handling payroll and bookkeeping for multiple entities or accounts is preferred.
- High numerical accuracy and strong attention to detail for handling daily manual calculations and reconciliations.
- Working proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks), Microsoft Excel, and general web applications.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing daily deadlines, and follow established procedures consistently.
- Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) certification or formal post-secondary coursework in accounting is an asset, but relevant work experience is prioritized.

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
