ECM Heating & Cooling is looking for an experienced Lead HVAC Installer to join our growing team.

As a Lead HVAC Installer, you will oversee residential and light commercial HVAC installations while mentoring junior technicians and ensuring every project is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

What You'll Do

- Lead and supervise installation crews on residential and light commercial projects.
- Install furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, boilers, water heaters, and ventilation equipment.
- Read and interpret installation drawings and manufacturer specifications.
- Perform equipment start-up, commissioning, testing, and customer demonstrations.
- Ensure installations comply with TSSA regulations, manufacturer requirements, and applicable building and electrical codes.
- Train and mentor apprentices and junior technicians.
- Maintain accurate job documentation and commissioning paperwork.
- Communicate with office staff regarding project progress, materials, and scheduling.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Provide exceptional customer service on every job.

Qualifications

- G2 Gas Technician Licence required; G1 considered an asset.
- ODP Certification required.
- Valid Ontario Driver's Licence with a clean driving record.
- Minimum 5 years of HVAC installation experience.
- Experience installing heat pumps, furnaces, air conditioners, and ductless systems.
- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead an installation crew.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work safely and efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.

Assets:

- Sheet metal experience.
- Hydronic or boiler experience.
- Working at Heights certification.
- First Aid/CPR certification.




- Experience with commissioning and start-up procedures.
- Experience mentoring apprentices or junior technicians.
