Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Asphalt Finish Rake to join our construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and precise finishing of asphalt surfaces during paving projects. Your expertise will help create durable, smooth roads and surfaces that meet high-quality standards. Responsibilities

- Spread and level asphalt material using rakes to achieve a smooth, even surface according to project specifications
- Assist in the placement and shaping of asphalt during paving operations, ensuring proper compaction and finish quality
- Operate heavy equipment such as skid steers or compactors as needed to support paving activities
- Collaborate with the paving crew to maintain consistent flow and meet project deadlines
- Conduct routine inspections of the finished surface for quality control, making adjustments as necessary
- Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members




- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, tools, and equipment throughout the project

Requirements

- Prior experience in construction, paving, or related heavy equipment operation preferred
- Knowledge of asphalt paving techniques and finishing processes
- Ability to operate basic construction tools and machinery safely and effectively
- Strong physical stamina to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward safety and quality standards
- Construction experience is highly desirable; familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing project needs
