Job Title: Snow School Instructor
Reports to: Program Supervisor / Snow School Director
Wage: Starting at $18.50 and increases based on certification and experience
Part-Time, Seasonal; Weekends and Holidays
Job Summary
Ski Instructors ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by providing quality lessons delivered in a skilled and well-organized manner. Instructors are responsible for ensuring that lesson content is current and up to date.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction by providing quality lessons delivered in a professional and well-organized manner.
- Demonstrating a high level of customer service.
- Assisting the Supervisor in greeting guests as they arrive at the lesson location.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students
- Ensuring that your day-to-day activities, in and out of lesson situations,
fall within the guidelines of the Ski & Snowboard School's Health and Safety policies.
Qualifications
- Must hold a minimum level 1 C.A.S.I. or Level 1 C.S.I.A. Or completion of a Ski or Snowboard certification from another recognized organization.
- Previous instructing experience an asset.
- Comfortable working with small children
- Must be able to work flexible hours, primarily weekends and holidays (Christmas, Family Day weekend and March Break).
- Successful applicants who are 18 years of age or older will be required to sign an attestation that they legally eligible to work with minors and individuals of a vulnerable demographic.
Working Conditions
- Primarily outdoor, on-snow setting, weekends, holidays, days and evening shifts.
Physical Requirements
- On snow for extended periods, skiing/snowboarding, standing, walking, climbing
