A well-established and growing multi-trade mechanical contractor is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Junior Project Manager to join its team.
With decades of experience serving the industrial, commercial, and institutional sectors, this organization has built a strong reputation for delivering complex mechanical projects throughout Southern Ontario.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who enjoys working collaboratively, coordinating multiple priorities, and supporting the successful delivery of complex projects.
Responsibilities
- Support Project Managers with project planning and execution, including scheduling, budgeting, staffing, and resource allocation.
- Assist with developing and tracking project timelines, identifying potential risks, and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate procurement activities, including reviewing specifications, sourcing vendors, processing purchase requisitions, and tracking equipment lead times
- Monitor project progress, maintain accurate cost tracking, and support budget control initiatives
- Maintain and update project documentation, including logs, drawings, change orders, meeting minutes, and status reports
- Liaise with clients, vendors, consultants, and contractors to support effective communication and timely project delivery
- Assist with contractor coordination, performance monitoring, billing, and invoice verification
- Attend site meetings, provide project updates, and assist with resolving routine project issues
- Support project closeout activities and ensure all required documentation and deliverables are completed on schedule
- Use internal systems and software to track project milestones, documentation, reporting, and other project requirements
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical project coordination, project management, or a similar role
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, construction processes, and project specifications
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam applications; experience with Sage 300 is considered an asset
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with clients, contractors, consultants, vendors, and internal teams

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
