Adaptive Minds Learning Centre is seeking a skilled individuals to fill contract ABA Therapist position in Mississauga. The therapist will work one on one with children diagnosed with Autism spectrum disorder in-centre and in-home, implementing Applied Behaviour Analysis teaching strategies (IBI/ABA) under the direction of a Senior therapist and an RBA/BCBA.

Successful candidates must collaborate with other team members in the consistent implementation of skills acquisition and behaviour modification programs, data collection and session notes as well as participate in any training or team meetings as required and communicate consistently with the Senior Therapist and RBA/BCBA.

Responsibilities

- Monitor clients' progress and effectiveness of individualized programs
- Implement ABA programs
- Record data in an online platform
- Write reports and progress notes
- Flag exceptional circumstances in regards to changes to the program
- Work collaboratively with parents and team members in the treatment planning process

Qualifications:




- Must have a College or Bachelor of Arts related to Autism Behavioral Science or psychology
- Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT) is an asset
- Experience (6 months minimum) providing ABA or IBI services to children with autism
- Experience working with special needs children
- Knowledge of childhood development and Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Must be a team player
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills
- Must have access to a vehicle or other reliable methods of transportation.
- Must have or willing to obtain Professional Liability Insurance
- Must have or willing to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check
- Must have or willing to obtain CPR certification

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
