Role Description The Accounts Payable Accountant is a full-time, hybrid role based in Montreal, QC, with the flexibility to work from home for part of the week. This role is responsible for processing vendor invoices, verifying supporting documentation, coding expenses, and ensuring timely payments.

The Accounts Payable

Accountant will perform regular account reconciliations, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate records in the accounting system. Day-to-day tasks include responding to vendor inquiries, coordinating with internal departments, assisting with month-end closing activities,



and supporting financial reporting related to payables. The role also contributes to improving accounts payable processes, maintaining compliance with company policies, and supporting audits as needed.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Finance and Accounting, with the ability to apply concepts to day-to-day operational tasks.
- Proficiency in Account Reconciliation to ensure accuracy of vendor balances and general ledger accounts.
- Hands-on experience with Invoice Processing and Invoicing, including data entry, verification, and approval workflows.
- Relevant post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional designation or progress toward one is an asset.
- Experience using accounting or ERP software, strong Excel skills, and attention to detail in high-volume environments.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting, manage priorities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Experience in real estate or property management environments is an advantage; bilingual English/French is considered an asset.
