The Niagara Community Legal Clinic is a busy urban legal clinic seeking a service-focused individual interested in challenging and meaningful work. This position is full-time (5 days per week), at a fast-paced, dynamic organization that provides access to important legal services. Our practice is in poverty law, including tenant law and Ontario Disability Support Program law. Reports to Office Manager

Based at NiagaraCLC's St. Catharines office of 8 Church St., Second Floor

Responsibilities:

- Reception duties – making initial contact with clients, visitors and community partners who contact the clinic both in-person or by phone
- This position is for a vacant Admin Professional based primarily at the St. Catharines location, 8 Church St.
- Elicit, summarize and record intake information from clients
- Provide basic information regarding clinic services and limitations of those services
- Provide appropriate referral information to various community resources
- Provide general administrative support (including faxing, photocopying, opening mail, filing and responding to telephone calls)
- Prep case files for closing (drafting closing letter), closing case files and opening case files as directed by legal staff and the Office Manager
- Provide administrative support to the Office Manager and Legal Staff as required

Preferred Skills and Experience:





- Related post-secondary diploma or demonstrated client service experience
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and to take direction
- Ability to work in a friendly and cooperative manner with colleagues
- Flexibility and ability to manage competing priorities and multi-task
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Excellent computer skills (experience with Windows and Microsoft Office)
- Experience with CRM software (Salesforce, CIMS, Electronic Medica Record systems, etc)
- Ability to work in French and/or other languages an asset.

Salary & Benefits:

- The starting salary for the Admin Professional position is set by the terms of the collective agreement, which, currently, is set at: $51,140.46 annually
- Benefits include health insurance, retirement plan, pension, paid sick days, vacation time, and a supportive work environment
- The successful applicant in this Admin Professional role will be part of the COPE 343 Union, which represents the staff at Niagara Community Legal Clinic
