Overview The purpose of the position is to learn the expertise and maintenance to a fleet of aircraft.

The primary function is to learn and understand how to maintain the fleet of aircraft mechanically To analyze mechanical and electrical issues that arise from the flying of aircraft To certify that the aircraft is airworthy on a daily basis for flights grow confidence in the skills and expertise while learning technical procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities

Daily Inspections

Learn to perform complex procedures by Verifying that external and critical parts are in good condition to allow aircraft to continue to fly

Isolate and repair any deficiencies that arise from the daily inspection

Learn to analyze and Investigate more complex issues in a competency based process

Research through the manufacturer and other services to determine the root cause of the problem

Troubleshoot various standard causes to eliminate the apparent solutions and delve into more sophisticated options to correct the failures

Ensure that you work well with your specific engineer as your coach and advisor and the team as a whole.

List parts and consumables to repair mechanical issues

Plan the repair and timeline necessary for future inspections that will require specific parts and consumables

Make necessary repairs using a variety of tools both specialized and ordinary mechanical tools

Review the processes and ask questions of your lead on how to Restore Parts and components

Restore existing parts and replace parts that are worn and damaged by use,



make decisions on which parts to repair and which one to replace

Follow a detailed plan and work with an administrative system that provides clear steps and functions

Communicate with team lead and other team members

Report daily to the crew chief to bring him up to speed on the repair and restoration of aircraft systems that the employee has been working on

Qualifications

Complete an 2 years of education to qualify for the apprenticeship . Understand the process and obligation under the competency based training.

Working Condition The job requires the individual to be able to perform work in tight places in the aircraft and work from elevated stands while performing the maintenance on the aircraft. They must also be able to work outside in challenging environmental conditions while performing maintenance on aircraft.

Physical Requirements The position is physically demanding as most parts are heavy and cumbersome, and the incumbent will spend the majority of their time standing and bending in and over large parts to perform the maintenance on the aircraft. The position will demand the employee to handle hazardous chemicals on a regular basis.

Pay: From $31.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
