Apartment Building Cleaner – 55+ Residential Communities

CAN-DER Properties Ltd. is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and personable Apartment Building Cleaner to join our team. This position works within our 55+ independent living apartment communities and plays an important role in maintaining a clean, welcoming, and comfortable environment for our residents.

This is a resident-facing position. Our cleaners will regularly interact with tenants throughout the day, and we are looking for someone who is friendly, approachable, patient, and enjoys working with seniors. Providing excellent customer service and building positive relationships with residents is an important part of the role.

Responsibilities

- Clean and maintain common areas, including lobbies, hallways, elevators, stairwells, amenity spaces, washrooms, and other shared areas
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, sanitize, and clean high-touch surfaces
- Clean windows, glass doors, entrances, and elevators
- Clean and prepare vacant suites as required
- Remove garbage and maintain waste/recycling areas
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and presentation throughout the building
- Interact with residents in a friendly, skilled, and respectful manner
- Report maintenance concerns, damage, or safety hazards to the Building Manager
- Monitor cleaning supplies and advise management when additional supplies are required




- Assist with additional cleaning duties as required

Qualifications
- Previous residential, commercial, hotel, or professional cleaning experience is an asset
- Comfortable working and interacting with seniors in a 55+ community
- Friendly, personable, patient, and customer-service focused
- Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Good communication and time-management skills
- Physically capable of performing regular cleaning duties, including bending, lifting, reaching, and being on your feet for extended periods
