Assistant Restaurant Manager

We are looking for a motivated, hospitality-focused Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team. This position is responsible for supporting the Restaurant Manager in the day-to-day operation of the restaurant while ensuring an exceptional guest experience, strong team performance, and consistently high standards of service, cleanliness, and food safety.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who leads by example, enjoys developing people, and thrives in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the Restaurant Manager with daily restaurant operations and service
- Lead, coach, and motivate front-of-house team members
- Maintain high standards of guest service and hospitality
- Assist with staff scheduling, training, onboarding, and performance management
- Ensure all food safety, health, sanitation, and workplace safety standards are followed
- Conduct regular opening, closing, and cleanliness checks
- Ensure restaurant checklists, logs, and required documentation are completed accurately
- Monitor service standards, product quality, presentation, and consistency
- Handle guest concerns professionally and ensure appropriate follow-up
- Assist with inventory, ordering, receiving, and waste control
- Support labour and cost-control initiatives
- Assist with cash handling, deposits, and daily financial procedures




- Communicate effectively with both front-of-house and kitchen leadership
- Help maintain a positive, professional, and respectful workplace culture
- Step into the Restaurant Manager's role when required

What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of restaurant or hospitality leadership experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and restaurant operating standards
- Ability to coach and develop team members
- Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-focused in a busy environment
- A hands-on leadership style with a strong attention to detail
