Duties

- Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
- Decorate cakes and desserts with precision using various cake decorating techniques to create visually appealing products
- Brew and serve a range of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with enthusiasm and consistency
- Assist customers by taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and providing friendly, attentive service
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area, and adhering to food safety regulations




- Prepare food items efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
- Package baked goods and beverages carefully for takeout or delivery orders to ensure freshness and customer satisfaction

Qualifications

- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service workplace is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key
- Skills in cake decorating, food preparation, cooking, and baking are highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Experience working in a kitchen or food industry setting is an asset
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy trays or ingredients, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of packaging techniques for baked goods and beverages
