Queens Grove School is looking for a High School Teacher specializing in Biology, Chemistry, and Geography to start teaching immediately the following courses in-person:

SNC1D, SBI3U, SCH4U, CGW4U, CGC1W

Monday to Friday, 9am to 2:40pm.

This is an urgent position. Please do not apply if you cannot start immediately.

Duties

- Develop and deliver comprehensive unit and lesson plans in Biology, Chemistry, and Geography aligned with curriculum standards
- Facilitate interactive classroom activities that promote active learning and student participation
- Assess student progress and achievement using AAL, AFL, AOL
- Evaluate students according to the new evaluation system in Ontario schools
- Collect triangulated evidence of student achievement




- Incorporate laboratory experiments and practical demonstrations to enhance understanding of scientific concepts
- Organize extracurricular activities or field trips related to science and geography topics to enrich student experiences

Experience

- At least some prior experience teaching credit courses in Biology, Chemistry, or Geography
- Please do not apply if you don't have teaching experience in Ontario. Tutoring does not count.

Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour Expected hours: 25.0 per week
