GLITCH Victoria is a high-energy retro arcade bar bringing 1990s and 2000s nostalgia to the heart of downtown at 759 Yates Street. Following the success of our Vancouver flagship, we are launching this 275-seat venue to offer a unique blend of classic arcade games, new arcade games, and nostalgic cocktails. We pride ourselves on a vibrant, inclusive atmosphere where legendary hospitality takes center stage.

Job Overview The Bar Back / Busser supports the bar and service teams by ensuring efficient operations, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with restocking and organization throughout service. This role is essential to delivering smooth, high-quality guest experiences by keeping the bar fully supplied, clearing and resetting service areas promptly, and supporting overall venue readiness during busy periods.

Responsibilities

- Stock and replenish bar supplies, including liquor, beer, wine, mixers, glassware, garnishes, and consumables
- Ensure bar stations remain organized and fully prepared for service




- Assist with inventory rotation and product organization
- Support opening and closing bar setup and breakdown procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of the venue, including wiping surfaces, clearing glassware, and removing debris
- Wash, polish, and restock glassware as needed
- Remove empty bottles, trash, and recyclables during service
- Clear and reset tables efficiently to support servers and guest flow
- Support bartenders during high-volume service periods
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
- Communicate effectively with bartenders, servers, and management
- Assist with event setups and special service requirements when needed
- Maintain strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Maintain composure and work efficiently during peak service times

Skills

- Experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is preferred
- Strong cleaning skills and attention to hygiene standards
- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety protocols
- Previous kitchen or hotel experience is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly attitude
