We are looking for a friendly, personable, and reliable Barista / Front of House Cashier to join our team. This is a hands-on role that combines preparing quality coffee and beverages, providing warm and attentive customer service, operating the cash register, and assisting with basic food preparation as needed.

The ideal candidate is someone who genuinely enjoys working with people, takes pride in their work, and can confidently move between the front counter, beverage station, and prep area throughout the day.

Responsibilities

- Greet customers warmly and create a welcoming, positive experience for every guest.
- Take orders accurately and efficiently while providing knowledgeable and friendly service.
- Prepare and serve coffee, specialty beverages, and other drinks according to our recipes and quality standards.
- Operate the POS system and handle cash, credit/debit transactions, and other payments accurately and responsibly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked front counter, beverage station, and dining area.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards.
- Answer customer questions about menu items and provide recommendations when appropriate.
- Address customer concerns professionally and help resolve issues promptly.
- Assist with basic food and pastry prep when needed, including portioning, assembling, garnishing, stocking, and other kitchen tasks.
- Help keep the prep and service areas organized and properly stocked throughout the shift.




- Work as part of a team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Assist with opening and closing duties as needed.

Qualifications
- Previous barista, café, restaurant, or food service experience is highly preferred.
- Previous cashier or front-of-house experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of coffee preparation and beverage service is preferred.
- Must be friendly, personable, caring, and comfortable interacting with customers.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to assist with food preparation and other tasks outside of the beverage station when needed.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Experience creating or developing specialty drinks is a plus.
- Food Handler certification is a plus.

The Ideal Candidate We're looking for someone who is warm, outgoing, dependable, and genuinely enjoys taking care of people. You don't need to be an expert at everything on day one, but you should be willing to learn, take initiative, and help wherever needed.
