Barista – Full-Time

Monte Bakery is looking for a hands-on, energetic, and passionate barista with a positive, can-do attitude to join our team at our Dupont St location.

We are a coffee and croissant bakery focused on providing high-quality products and a warm, friendly customer experience. We are looking for someone who is passionate about coffee, enjoys working with people, and can work efficiently in a fast-paced bakery café environment.

Position Details

- Location: 1571 Dupont St, Toronto, ON
- (Junction area)
- Position: Full-Time Barista
- Schedule: Wednesday–Friday (3 days/week)
- Hours: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
- Pay: $18–$19 per hour
- Work Location: In personQualifications
- Previous espresso/barista experience is required
- Confident with espresso-based beverages such as lattes, cappuccinos, flat whites, americanos, etc.
- Strong knowledge of espresso preparation and basic coffee equipment
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Able to work quickly and efficiently in a busy café environment
- Friendly, energetic, and professional attitude
- Reliable and punctual
- Organized and able to work well as part of a team
- Knowledge of café equipment care and basic maintenance is an asset
- Knowledge of food safety and health regulations is an asset

Responsibilities
- Preparing and serving espresso-based beverages and other coffee drinks
- Providing friendly and efficient customer service




- Taking customer orders and handling cash and card payments accurately
- Packaging and serving bakery items and sandwiches
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the café and work area
- Properly cleaning and caring for espresso machines and other café equipment
- Following all health and safety regulations
- Restocking coffee beans, milk, cups, packaging, and other supplies
- Checking inventory and communicating supply needs to the team
- Helping maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming café environment

Requirements
- Espresso/barista experience is required
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Must be available to work Wednesday–Friday, 7:30 AM–3:30 PM
- Must be able to reliably commute to 1571 Dupont St, Toronto
