We are looking for dedicated individuals who would like to work within a supportive setting for our Before and After School Care Program located in Grimsby, Ontario. This position cares for kindergarten – school-aged children within an elementary school setting. This is a split position for 25 hours a week.

Strive Niagara is a licensed child care provider, providing quality care in Niagara for over 20 years. We provide child care for infants, toddlers and preschool children in Welland, St. Catharines, Thorold and Grimsby.

The function of this position is to plan and implement activities that promote healthy, emotional, social, cognitive and physical development of each child. Work as a team member, supporting the Centre holistically.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Early Childhood Education or Child and Youth Worker
- Registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators
- Current Standard First Aid/CPR Level C certification
- Current Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening addressed to Strive Niagara
- Up-to-date immunizations required




- Works as a team to establish and maintain a safe warm and caring environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Able to plan and implement programs that are stimulating and developmentally appropriate for kindergarten and school age children
- Ability to follow the Ministry of Education’s pedagogical approach to “How does learning Happen”

This position requires a Split Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Elementary School PD Day shifts vary and are between 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
