Cabinet Installer/On-Site Lead

Job Type: Full-Time

Build More Than Cabinets. Build Spaces That Matter.

At Oakstone Millwork & Design, we don't build production cabinetry—we create custom millwork that transforms homes and commercial spaces. Every project is unique, every detail matters, and craftsmanship is at the heart of everything we do.

We're looking for an experienced Cabinet Insaller who takes pride in precision, enjoys solving challenges, and believes that "good enough" simply isn't good enough.

If you're someone who notices the smallest details, enjoys working with high-quality materials, and wants to be part of a growing company where your work is appreciated, we'd love to meet you.

Key Responsibilities:

- Install custom cabinetry, millwork, panels, trim, hardware, and architectural components according to approved shop drawings.
- Lead and coordinate installers and subcontractors on site to ensure work is completed efficiently and to Oakstone quality standards.
- Review drawings, site conditions, measurements, and installation requirements before and during installation.
- Coordinate daily work areas, priorities, and installation sequencing with the Project Manager and site superintendent.
- Track installer/subcontractor hours and the sections or areas worked on each day.
- Identify site issues, deficiencies, missing or damaged components, and communicate them promptly to the Project Manager.
- Complete quality-control checks and ensure finished installations are level, aligned, secure, clean, and ready for client turnover.
- Ensure materials, tools, hardware,

and components are properly handled and protected on site.
- Maintain a clean, organized, professional, and safe work area.
- Represent Oakstone professionally when dealing with clients, builders, trades, site supervisors, and other project stakeholders.

Qualifications:

- 3+ years of cabinet/millwork installation experience min.
- Strong knowledge of custom cabinetry and architectural millwork installation.
- Ability to confidently read and interpret shop drawings and plans.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience leading installers or coordinating work on active construction sites is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of installation quality and progress.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.
- Must have own basic installation tools.
- Knowledge of construction-site safety requirements and procedures.

Ideal Candidate: A skilled installer who takes pride in craftsmanship, can lead a crew without needing constant supervision, communicates problems early, and takes ownership of getting the job installed correctly and professionally.
