CHILD & FAMILY THERAPIST (Now to March 31st 2027)

Crossroads Children's Mental Health Centre (CCMHC) provides a wide range of mental health services for children and their families. We specialize in social, behavioral, emotional and mental health concerns such as aggression, impulsivity, social skills, anxiety, sadness, depression, fear, and suicidal thoughts. Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Child and Family Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with children and families, providing therapeutic support to address emotional and behavioral challenges. This role involves collaborating with families to develop effective treatment plans, facilitating therapy sessions, and promoting overall mental health and well-being.

Duties

- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify the needs of children and families.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions in a supportive environment.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive support.
- Maintain accurate records and treatment outcomes.
- Engage in data collection for research purposes to improve therapeutic practices.

Qualifications · A Master’s level education in Social Work, Counselling,



or a Health-Related Discipline with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience is preferred.

· Must be registered and in valuable standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) as a Social Worker, or the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).

· Excellent clinical assessment, formulation and treatment planning skills is essential.

· Experience working directly with children and youth under the age of 18 and their families.

· Training or experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Single Session Therapy, Collaborative Problem Solving and/or other Evidence Based Approaches will be considered an asset.

· Comfort and proficiency in using technology for virtual counselling, including phone and video sessions.

· Language skills other than English and French also considered an asset.

Salary: $72,255 - $84,284
