Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Church Music Director to lead and inspire our congregation through music that uplifts, energizes, and fosters spiritual growth. In this vital role, you will coordinate and oversee all aspects of the church’s musical programs, including choir rehearsals, special music events, and worship services. Your leadership will create an inviting atmosphere where music becomes a powerful expression of faith, community, and celebration.

Duties

- Provide music accompaniment for Sunday worship, including prelude, hymns, communion , and postlude , using piano, organ and / or keyboard.
- Lead rehearsals for choir (September - June). Select anthems appropriate for worship services and seasonal celebrations.
- Offer a blend of traditional and contemporary music
- Collaborate with the minister and worship leaders to integrate music seamlessly into worship services.
- Manage the church’s music equipment, including instruments, and choir resources to ensure optimal performance quality.
- Organize special musical for holidays,



and other church celebrations that encourage participation from the congregation.
- Maintain a welcoming setting that encourages participation from individuals of diverse backgrounds and skill levels.

Skills

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate volunteers and guide teams effectively.
- Experience with leading a choir, and proficiency with piano and organ.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with clergy, staff, volunteers, and congregation members clearly and positively.
- Knowledge of various musical styles suitable for worship settings and the ability to adapt arrangements accordingly.
- Experience in teaching music fundamentals or vocal techniques to individuals or groups of different ages.
