We are seeking a 30-40 hours per week Shift Leader to join our team at our new, small-scale, locally operated chocolate factory. Our brand specializes in re-creating no-sugar, vegan candy bars (think Snickers, Mars, Butterfinger, etc.), and we are committed to crafting high-quality products.
Position Details
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,,Thursday 330pm-9pm and Saturday and Sunday 8 AM–4PM (exact end times may vary slightly). Approximately 30+ hours per week.
- Work alongside 2–3 other team members.
- $22.50/hour
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that batches are completed in the correct timelines. Ensure that processes are being followed by the team so that product results are accurate and consistent.
- Responsible for observing and managing the shifts to ensure each production shift’s objectives are met.
- Operate the depositor machine and assist with general production.
- Operate the candy cooker and stand mixer.
- Load and manipulate confections on the work table.
- Cut and shape confections into bite-sized pieces in preparation for enrobing.
- Blend and warm chocolate, ensuring the tempering machine and hopper are adequately filled.
- Transport trays of molds to the cooling room and store them according to system guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace throughout the shift.
- Bin finished products.
- Package finished products.
Physical Requirements
- Comfortable standing for the entire shift and regularly transporting trays.
