Looking for city driver in Mississauga

Minimum experience- 1.5 years in City

Responsibilities

- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight throughout the city and nearby regions, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts and other heavy equipment, ensuring proper handling and secure placement.
- Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and equipment, performing basic automotive repairs or notifying maintenance teams as needed.
- Verify shipment accuracy, complete delivery documentation, and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, freight movements, and vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers,



warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly.
- Assist with warehouse duties when not on the road, including freight sorting and inventory management.

Qualifications

- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating forklifts, heavy equipment, or similar machinery.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols.
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshoot vehicle issues.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation accuracy.
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads and perform manual tasks regularly.
- Prior experience in commercial driving or logistics is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates.
