Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled REGIONAL/ LOCAL Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage freight effectively.

Duties

- Operate trucks to transport freight to designated locations in a timely manner.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
- Perform basic automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle reliability.
- Operate forklifts or heavy equipment when necessary for loading and unloading tasks.

Qualifications





- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required.
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of automotive repair is a plus for maintaining vehicle performance.
- Experience operating forklifts or heavy equipment is preferred.
- Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and safety protocols.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
