Seasonal Fuel Delivery Driver – Kearl

Pay: $38.00 per hour, 11.5 hours per day

Position Overview

Chinook Fuels is seeking safety-focused and dependable drivers to support fuel delivery operations at Kearl.

Drivers are responsible for the safe and accurate delivery of fuel to mobile equipment, stationary equipment, tanks, heaters, generators, and other site infrastructure. This is a physically demanding, field-based position requiring drivers to work safely around heavy equipment, perform fuel-handling activities, maintain accurate documentation, and work independently when required.

Key Responsibilities

- Safely operate fuel delivery trucks and complete assigned fueling routes throughout the Kearl site.
- Deliver fuel to heavy equipment, drilling and construction equipment, generators, heaters, tanks, and other site infrastructure.
- Complete deliveries using established procedures for vehicle positioning, exclusion zones, hose handling, and spill prevention.
- Handle, pull, and reposition fuel hoses and associated equipment as required to complete deliveries.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report equipment deficiencies or maintenance requirements.
- Complete basic vehicle checks and routine operator maintenance, including checking fluids and greasing where required.
- Maintain fuel trucks, Cardlock facilities, delivery areas, and associated equipment in a clean and safe condition.
- Accurately record fuel deliveries, quantities, equipment information, and other required operational documentation.
- Identify and report hazards, spills, equipment deficiencies, and operational concerns.
- Follow Chinook Fuels and site-specific safety requirements and participate in pre-task meetings,



safety meetings, and required training.
- Perform other fuel-related duties as required to support site operations.

Required Qualifications

- Valid Class 3 driver's license with Air Brake endorsement.
- Acceptable current Driver's Abstract.
- CSO or CSTS.
- Emergency First Aid.
- H2S Awareness.
- AGT / Gas Detection.
- Current respiratory Fit Test Card for N95 and 3M 6000 Series half-mask respirators.
- Ability to work safely and effectively with limited supervision.
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and documentation skills.

Candidates must also successfully complete a pre-employment alcohol and drug test, provide a Fit for Duty medical note as required, complete required Chinook Fuels and site-specific training, and meet all site-access requirements. Physical & Working Conditions

Candidates must be capable of performing physically demanding work throughout an 11.5-hour shift. This may include:

- Repeated handling, pulling, and repositioning of fuel hoses and associated equipment.
- Frequent entry and exit from fuel trucks and protected access around equipment.
- Walking and working on uneven, muddy, snowy, or icy surfaces.
- Working outdoors in cold, wind, snow, rain, and changing weather conditions.
- Wearing required PPE.
- Working around heavy mobile equipment in an active industrial environment.

Rotation, Camp & Transportation The position operates on a 14 days on / 14 days off rotation, with accommodation provided in camp while on rotation. Transportation to site may include charter flights from Edmonton or Calgary and bus transportation for Fort McMurray-area employees.

Seasonal Employment

Winter Season: October through March

This is a seasonal position. Opportunities to continue into subsequent seasons may be available based on operational requirements, project demand, employee performance, and mutual agreement.
