The Opportunity

Class 3 Driver

Primary role is to safely operate company vehicles and perform local pickups and deliveries of materials, parts, and equipment.

The ideal individual for this position must possess the following:

- Experience operating commercial vehicles
- Knowledge of safe loading and load securement
- Ability to perform basic vehicle inspections
- Ability to read and follow pickup and delivery documentation Basic mechanical aptitude is an asset
- Good knowledge of local roads and routes
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and technical skills.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to handle high-stress situations and make informed decisions quickly.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Brief Summary of the Positions' Primary Responsibilities

- Safely loading, securing, transporting, and unloading materials while following company and transportation safety requirements.




- Completing scheduled pickups and deliveries, inspecting the vehicle, maintaining required documentation.
- Ensuring materials are delivered safely and on time.
- Ability to safely load, secure, transport, and unload materials.
- Perform basic vehicle inspections.
- Follow all safety and transportation regulations.
- Complete pickup and delivery documentation.
- Communicate with suppliers, customers, and internal departments.
- Maintain the cleanliness and general condition of the vehicle.
- Report vehicle issues or safety concerns.
- Assist with material handling when required.
- Other driving-related duties as required.

Required Experience, Education and Qualifications

- Required: Minimum 2 years of driving experience.
- Required: A Valid Class 3 driver's license with air brakes.
- Required: Clear Criminal Record Check.
- Required: Clean Driving Record.
- Required: Experience with local pickups and deliveries.
- Required: Ability to speak, read, and write in English
- Preferred: Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is an asset
- Preferred: Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- Preferred: Ability to speak other languages.

Reporting Relationship This position reports to the Materials Manager.
