We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in various environments, including commercial spaces. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to manage time efficiently while performing custodial duties. The Cleaner will play a vital role in ensuring that facilities are well-maintained and presentable for both employees and visitors.
This is a subcontracting position. You will receive biweekly payments without tax deductions. At the end of the year, Csight Atlantic Cleaners will provide a T4A slip to the subcontractor, who will then be responsible for filing their own taxes.
A background check would be performed on expense of sub-contractor or they can provide their own which should not be more than 90 days older.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks in assigned areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
- Utilize appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment to ensure high standards of cleanliness.
- Operate vacuum cleaner effectively for various cleaning tasks.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures while performing all cleaning duties.
Requirements

- Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices is a plus.
- Must be detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.

- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including floors, windows, restrooms, and common spaces, ensuring high standards of hygiene and appearance
- Use appropriate cleaning tools and products safely and efficiently to complete tasks promptly
- Maintain cleanliness of trash receptacles, replace liners, and dispose of waste responsibly
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet paper to ensure availability at all times
- Follow established cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure consistent quality across all areas
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards immediately to supervisors for prompt resolution
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times to create a safe working environment
Skills
- Prior custodial or cleaning experience, especially in commercial or institutional settings, is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail with an eye for cleanliness and organization
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing time effectively
- Good physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and lifting supplies
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of commercial cleaning equipment
- Excellent communication skills for reporting issues or completing documentation accurately
- Reliability and punctuality are essential qualities for success in this role
