Nelson Animal Hospital is hiring a Client Care Specialist. Our family owned and operated practice located in beautiful Burlington is excited to be adding to our team of enthusiastic, compassionate, and motivated people! We require someone with excellent communication and above and beyond customer service. Previous experience working in a veterinary hospital is preferred. Other medical office experience and exceptional customer service experience will be considered.

Responsibilities include

- Greeting clients and their pets upon arrival
- Answering phones, communicating with our awesome client families!
- Placing, receiving, and managing orders
- Processing payments
- Maintaining hospital cleanliness
- Restraining animals for procedures such as IV catheter placement, blood collection, nail trims, etc.
- Caring for clinic and boarding pets
- Assisting with management duties (depending on areas of interest)

What we're looking for
- Warm, genuine communication skills, in person and on the phone
- Strong organizational skills and comfort switching between tasks quickly
- Composure and empathy in emotionally charged situations
- Solid computer skills and the ability to learn new software




- Reliability and a team-first attitude
- Comfort around animals of all sizes and temperaments

A plus:

- Previous experience in a veterinary clinic, medical office, or client-facing service role
- Familiarity with veterinary practice management software (ezyVet especially)
- Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology
- A genuine interest in growing in this role — we'd love to find someone who wants to build skills and take on more over time, not just fill a shift

Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour Expected hours: 16.0 – 28.0 per week
