Registered Nurse (RN) - Community Health

Stó:lō Service Agency (SSA) requires the services of a qualified Community Health Nurse (RN) to fill a vacancy with the Health Services Department. The Community Health Nurse (RN) delivers client and family centered care aligned with the vision, mission, and values of the SSA. Operating under a community health approach, the nurse complies with all professional standards and ethical codes mandated by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) and the Canadian Community Health Nursing Standards of Practice.

The Community

Health RN provides comprehensive, culturally safe community health nursing services that promote wellness, prevent illness, and support individuals and families across the lifespan. The role collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and community partners to coordinate care, improve access to services, deliver health education, and build community capacity.

This position reports to the Home and Community Care Lead or the Health Promotion Lead and will work within the community.

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing (Registered Nurse).
- Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwifes (BCCNM).
- Minimum five (5) years of recent related community nursing experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Current First Aid, CPR & AED certification.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Class 5 BC Drivers’ License.
- Proficiency in using computers including Microsoft 365, Word, Excel, Outlook, EMR systems, and video conferencing platforms.




- Demonstrated commitment to advancing Truth and Reconciliation and delivering culturally safe services to Indigenous individuals, families, and communities.
- Must maintain the confidentiality guidelines of all records, materials and communications concerning clients, staff and SSA.
- Formal training and experience in home care coordination, elder care, or palliative care, wound care, footcare, chronic disease management or other clinical training is an asset.

Successful candidates will be required to provide the following if screened in for an interview:

- Must successfully pass the required pre-employment RCMP Criminal records Check.

Salary: Starting at $50.50 per hour (based on qualifications/experience). Type of Position: Part time (3) days a week with benefits, subject to 3-month probationary period and planned performance evaluations.
