Construction Coordinator
Active Homes | Edmonton, AB
Active Homes is hiring a Construction Coordinator to help keep our residential construction operations organized, on schedule, and moving forward. You will work closely with construction, trades, suppliers, municipalities, sales, drafting, and our office team.
This is a hands-on role for someone who is highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and has a strong sense of urgency and follow-through.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate building permit applications and follow up with municipalities
- Manage New Home Warranty registrations
- Administer trade contracts and required documentation
- Coordinate trade schedules, inspections, utilities, and material deliveries
- Maintain accurate project documentation in Buildertrend
- Track permits, inspections, and other construction items
- Review trade and supplier invoices for accuracy
- Assist with change orders and project documentation
- Maintain job tracking spreadsheets and project files
- Coordinate home possessions with Construction, Sales and customers
- Communicate with trades, suppliers, Site Supervisors, and internal teams to keep projects moving efficiently
- Identify issues and follow up proactively to ensure they are resolved
- Provide general coordination and administrative support to the team
What We're Looking For
- Experience in new home construction administration required
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple homes, deadlines, and priorities
- Strong communication and follow-through
- Proactive approach with a strong sense of urgency
- Ability to solve problems and take ownership of tasks
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Buildertrend or similar construction software experience is an asset
- Familiarity with municipal permitting and inspections
- Valid driver's license
