Job Overview
Executive Home Builders Ltd. is looking for a reliable and hardworking General Labourer to join our residential new home construction team in Saskatoon. This is a hands-on, part-time position starting at approximately 20–30 hours per week, with the opportunity to grow into full-time work.
The role involves a variety of general construction duties, including moving materials, using hand and power tools, site clean-up, assisting with framing and finishing work, and helping keep projects organized and moving forward. Previous construction experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right person. You don't have to know how to do everything — but you do need to be dependable, physically capable and willing to pitch in wherever needed.
This position will start at approximately 20–30 hours per week, with the opportunity to grow into full-time work for the right person.
Duties Include:
- General labour on residential construction sites
- Loading, unloading and moving building materials
- Using hand and power tools
- Assisting with framing
- Assisting with finishing carpentry, including doors, trim, baseboards and other finishing work
- Measuring, cutting and installing materials
- General site preparation and clean-up
- Keeping job sites clean, organized and safe
- Helping trades and crew members as needed
- Performing various tasks to keep the construction project moving
Skills:
- Proficiency with hand tools and basic power tools used in construction work
- Previous construction experience or familiarity with building sites is highly desirable
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Basic understanding of carpentry, painting, plumbing, welding, and restoration processes
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning current skills
The right person will:
- Have previous construction experience or a strong willingness to learn
- Be comfortable using hand and power tools
- Be physically capable of performing hard labour and lifting materials
- Have some knowledge of residential construction
- Have experience with framing or finishing carpentry — an asset, but not required
- Be reliable, punctual and dependable
- Be able to follow instructions and work independently
- Take pride in their work and pay attention to detail
- Have a positive attitude and work well with others
- Have a valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle

Hours & Compensation 20–30 hours per week to start
Starting wage: $20–$25/hour, based on experience and skill level
Prospect for full-time hours as the position develops
