Content Creator & Digital Marketing Specialist – Part-Time Contract

Hours: Approximately 15–25 hours per week initially

Pay: $22.00–$35.00 per hour, based on experience and demonstrated capability

Work Arrangement: Hybrid – on-site content capture at Ottawa-area projects with independent editing and content work

Job Overview

We are seeking a talented Content Creator & Digital Marketing Specialist to take ownership of our digital content and help build our online presence.

This is a part time contract position to start, with the opportunity to develop into a full-time position as the role and company grow.

This is not simply a social media management position. You will visit active jobsites, identify compelling content opportunities, capture high-quality video and photography, edit and produce engaging content, and strategically use that content across our website, Google and social platforms.

Responsibilities

- Film and photograph active demolition, abatement, concrete and construction projects
- Create and edit high-quality short-form and long-form video




- Develop project showcases, before/after content, equipment features and behind-the-scenes content
- Manage and publish content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and other relevant platforms
- Manage and improve website content and Google Business Profile
- Conduct keyword research and optimize content for Google SEO and local search
- Write effective captions, headlines and supporting content
- Monitor content and search performance and continuously improve strategy
- Proactively identify content and marketing opportunities without requiring constant direction

Experience & Qualifications
- Strong videography, video editing and content creation ability
- Demonstrated creative ability with a solid portfolio
- Experience with social media content and digital marketing
- Working knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google search visibility
- Photography and graphic design skills are strong assets
- Able to work independently and take ownership of projects
- Comfortable visiting active construction and demolition sites
- Construction industry experience is an asset but not required
