General Accountability and Summary
Our project delivery services team is seeking an experienced Contracts and Procurement Specialist to develop and execute sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, negotiate commercial agreements. You will collaborate closely with engineering, project teams, and business stakeholders to support our major capital projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting various Loderock clients in their Procurement efforts and in the Site Contracts Administration functions for our global Clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the overall procurement process for specific packages, including supplier pre-qualification, scope definition, RFx development, commercial bid evaluation, contract award, kick-off meetings, and expediting both internal and external parties in order to meet the schedule requirements.
- Negotiating commercial and contractual terms and executing agreements with selected suppliers.
- Ensure procurement activities and deliverables are undertaken in accordance with agreed schedules, milestones, and issues periodic reports on the status of procurement activities.
- Develop and maintain Project Bidders Lists and complete supplier performance evaluations.
- Maintain an effective and professional relationship with all suppliers, including regular in-person meetings with critical stakeholders
- Establish and track budget values for all open purchase orders, contracts, scopes of work and change orders.
- Develop execution plans and establish logic networks for sequencing of tasks related to engineering, procurement, fabrication,
and construction activities.
- Plan and manage internal and external project communications, ensuring effective exchange of project information and deliverables and identify, analyze, prioritize, mitigate and communicate project risks.
- Expedite deliverables and deliveries of materials and equipment ensuring compliance with quality requirements.
- Preparation of minutes of meeting for various project meetings, both technical and non-technical.
- Following up on action items with responsible personnel to ensure that items are closed out completely and on time.
- Willing to work under tight deadlines and maintain exceptional judgment and discretion regarding sensitive matters.
- Other duties that may be delegated or required from time to time at the direction of the Contracts and Procurement Manager.
- Ensuring that customer expectations are met while respecting the company’s procurement policies.
- Behaving in a safe manner and showing constant concern for their own health and safety and that of their colleagues and business partners.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong written communication skills including document creation, preparation, editing and overall document management using the Microsoft Office Suite,
with specific expertise in the formatting, referencing and linking of documents using Microsoft Word preferred.
- Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Strong computer skills in Windows, Adobe, and the Microsoft Office Suite of tools.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work proactively in a small team, multi-disciplinary environment.
- Must be results-oriented and able to prioritize and focus on key deliverables with an ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to logically plan, organize, and structure activities.
- Ability to interact with all stakeholders with tact and diplomacy.
- A self-starter with valuable organization and time management skills.

Experience, Qualifications & Education
- College or University degree in business, construction management or science.
- Minimum of 3+ years experience in procurement, contract management.
- Skilled in all aspects of the supply chain process, preparing RFp/Rfx, contractual structure, commercial risk reviews, technical and contractual negotiation.
- A skilled negotiator with excellent communication skills and a focus on customer service.
- A highly organized self-starter.
- Consistently ethics-driven.
