One of our manufacturing clients in GTA region is looking for a Controls Engineer to join their team.

Pay - $100K - $120K

Duties & Responsibilities

- Analyze and navigate legacy control logic, software, and system architectures.

- Develop control models using MATLAB/Simulink/Simscape.

- Develop hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical plant models for control-system validation.

- Support SIL, PIL, and HIL testing.

- Support the development and integration of embedded control systems.

- Create technical documentation, test procedures, and validation plans.

- Participate in design reviews to identify technical issues and reduce project risks.

- Perform in-house testing and on-vehicle commissioning.

- Provide diagnostics and troubleshooting support for customer and field issues.

- Travel to customer sites as required.

Skills & Experience





- Bachelor s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

- 5 years of experience in control systems development.

- Solid proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, and Simscape.

- Experience with model-based design and SIL/PIL/HIL testing.

- Experience with Electronic Control Units (ECUs); TTControl experience is an asset.

- Experience with Git/GitHub/GitLab.

- Experience with J1939/CAN communication protocols.

- Knowledge of ISO 26262 or other functional safety standards is an asset.

- Familiarity with microcontrollers, sensors, motors, electronics, and hydraulics.

- Experience in automotive, aerospace, defense, or other safety-critical industries is an asset.
