: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Controller / Bookkeeper to oversee the financial operations of PatCom Medical Inc. This role will play a crucial part in maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day financial activities, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.

Responsibilities

- Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledgers, journals, and subsidiary ledgers.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoicing, payment processing, and collections.
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Prepare and submit government remittances, including HST/GST returns and payroll source deductions.

- Assist with year-end audit preparation and liaise with external auditors.




- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Identify areas for process improvements and implement streamlined accounting procedures.
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to support business decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and executive management, to achieve company goals.

Qualifications:
- Must be a certified Quickbooks Online Advisor
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting designation (CPA or equivalent) is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Controller, Senior Accountant, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Quickbooks Online
- Excellent understanding of Canadian and American accounting regulations and tax laws.
- Solid understanding of financial statement analysis and financial reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Prior experience in the healthcare industry is an asset.
