Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assist with food assembly to ensure timely service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly
- Support cooking activities by following recipes and safety standards under supervision
- Handle food safely in accordance with health regulations and food handling procedures
- Assist with serving food to guests when needed, ensuring a positive guest experience
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling accurately
- Support the team during busy periods by managing multiple tasks efficiently and communicating effectively with colleagues
Skills
- Previous food service experience or kitchen work background is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and interact politely with guests
- Experience with restaurant operations, including serving, cashiering, and meal preparation
- Familiarity with POS systems like Micros POS or similar technology for order processing
- Ability to maintain cleanliness standards through diligent cleaning routines
- Hospitality experience or hotel background is a plus, demonstrating adaptability in guest-focused environments
- Barista experience or knowledge of beverage preparation can be an advantage
- Good organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
- Willingness to learn current skills related to cooking, food presentation, and customer service
