We currently have a full-time position for the Stirling Feed & Seed store front as a customer service representative/cashier available.
Stirling Feed & Seed is a family-owned business, established in 1974. We are located in the village of Stirling. Our store is busy and quick paced. We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team and provide customer service to the farming community.
Other qualifications include
computer skills customer service skills team player communication with other staff self-motivated willing to learn different areas of the business valid driver’s license ability of lifting 50lbs attention to detail
Agriculture background would be an asset.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping experience, answering questions about products and services across multiple animal species.
- Maintain organized records for orders and deliveries.
- Operate the cash register (POS system), handle cash, credit card transactions, and process refunds accurately
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked with the latest products
- Provide excellent customer service by resolving issues promptly, managing complaints professionally, and ensuring a positive shopping experience
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail sales, customer service, or cashiering roles.
- Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic math skills for accurate transactions
- Basic organizational skills to manage merchandising displays and inventory efficiently.
- Agriculture knowledge is an asset.
