Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated CWB (Canadian Welding Bureau) Certified Welder to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing precise welding operations on structural steel components, utilizing various welding techniques and tools. Your expertise will ensure the integrity and safety of our projects, contributing to the successful completion of complex steel structures.

Responsibilities

- Execute welding tasks using MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and plasma cutting techniques to meet project specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine welding requirements
- Operate hand tools, power tools, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform rigging and mechanical tasks necessary for positioning steel components prior to welding
- Conduct quality inspections using calipers and basic math skills to ensure welds meet industry standards and project tolerances
- Assist with assembly, ductwork fabrication,



and construction-related tasks as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized work area while adhering to all safety protocols, including crane operation and forklift handling

Experience
- Proven experience as a CWB-certified welder with a strong background in structural steel fabrication
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG welding, and plasma cutting techniques
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings related to steel structures
- Familiarity with rigging, mechanical systems, machining, and assembly processes in a manufacturing or construction environment
- Ability to operate cranes, forklifts, press brake machines, and other heavy equipment safely
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, calipers, and basic math calculations for precise fabrication work
- Prior construction or manufacturing experience involving ductwork or structural steel erection is highly desirable
