Job Summary

Peppy Foods is looking for a reliable, responsible, and hardworking Delivery Driver / Warehouse Associate to join our growing food distribution team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for safely delivering frozen, refrigerated, and dry food products to restaurants, grocery stores, warehouses, and other customers throughout the Lower Mainland and surrounding areas.

You will primarily operate a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter cargo van and will also assist with loading, unloading, order verification, and general warehouse duties. Because this position involves food products, maintaining proper handling practices, cleanliness, product integrity, and food safety is an important part of the role.

We are looking for someone who is dependable, organized, physically capable, and comfortable working independently while providing professional service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

- Safely operate a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter cargo van for scheduled customer deliveries and pickups.
- Deliver frozen, refrigerated, dairy, and dry food products to restaurants, grocery stores, warehouses, and other customer locations.
- Load and unload cases, boxes, pallets, and other food products safely and efficiently.
- Verify products, quantities, invoices, delivery documents, and customer information before leaving the warehouse and upon delivery.
- Ensure frozen and refrigerated products are handled appropriately to help maintain product quality and the cold chain.




- Obtain required delivery confirmations, signatures, or proof of delivery.
- Communicate professionally with customers, warehouse staff, and management regarding deliveries, delays, shortages, returns, or other issues.
- Assist with receiving incoming shipments and organizing products in the warehouse, cooler, and freezer when required.
- Operate pallet jacks and forklifts when trained and authorized.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
- Keep the delivery vehicle clean, organized, and suitable for transporting food products.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, vehicle inspection records, and other required documentation.
- Follow Peppy Foods’ food safety, sanitation, workplace safety, and product-handling procedures.
- Assist with general warehouse duties, order preparation, picking, staging, and inventory movement when deliveries are completed or as required.
- Perform other delivery and warehouse-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence with a valuable driving record.
- Comfortable and experienced driving a cargo van or similar commercial vehicle.




- Previous delivery, warehouse, food distribution, or logistics experience is an asset.
- Forklift experience or certification is an asset.
- Comfortable using pallet jacks and other basic warehouse equipment.
- Must be physically capable of repeatedly lifting and moving food cases and other products throughout the workday.
- Comfortable working in warehouse, cooler, and freezer environments as required.
- Strong attention to detail when checking orders, quantities, invoices, and delivery documentation.
- Good communication and customer-service skills.
- Reliable, punctual, organized, and able to manage delivery schedules efficiently.
- Ability to work independently and responsibly while on the road.
- Basic understanding of food safety and proper food-handling practices is an asset.
