Demolition Laborers - HIRING ASAP - TEMPORARY LABOUR POSITIONS 3-4 Weeks The Demolition General Laborer supports demolition, asbestos, mold, and hazardous materials abatement projects by performing a variety of physical tasks in accordance with safety regulations, secure work procedures, and applicable legislation. This role involves material handling, site preparation, equipment operation, hazardous material removal, and general site cleanup. A strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and following established procedures is essential.

Demolition Duties

- Assist with demolition of structures using hand tools such as prying bars, shovels, and rakes
- Erect and dismantle barricades, temporary structures, and containment systems
- Load, unload, and move construction and demolition materials
- Sort, clean, and pile salvaged materials
- Remove rubble and debris using wheelbarrows and other equipment
- Assist tradespersons and equipment operators during demolition activities
- Direct traffic near demolition zones when required

Equipment and Tools

- Operate and assist with tools and equipment such as:
- Pneumatic hammers, vibrators, and tampers
- Mixers, compressors, and pumps




- Assist heavy equipment operators by signaling and securing attachments
- Perform basic maintenance such as oiling and greasing equipment
- Ensure tools and equipment are properly handled, stored, and secured
- Follow lockout/tagout procedures when required

Physical Demands

- Ability to perform heavy physical labour
- Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of materials
- Working in confined spaces, at heights, or in awkward positions
- Exposure to dust, noise, vibration, and hazardous materials

Qualifications

- Construction, demolition, or abatement experience preferred
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow direction
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Physically fit and able to perform demanding manual labour
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Understanding of workplace safety rules
- WHMIS training (or willingness to obtain
