Responsibilities

- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing, flossing, and dietary habits
- Assist with dental examinations by taking and developing X-rays, recording medical histories, and noting any concerns
- Support the dental team during procedures by preparing instruments and ensuring patient comfort
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental practice management software such as Dentrix
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient questions and ensuring a welcoming environment




- Collaborate with dentists and other team members to develop personalized treatment plans for patients

Requirements

- Valid licensure or certification as a Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations
- Proven experience working in a dental office setting, preferably with pediatric or orthodontic cases
- Proficiency in Dental Office Management Software such as Dentrix is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of dental assisting techniques, medical terminology, and infection control protocols
- Bilingual skills are a plus to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create a positive patient experience
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
