Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and efficiently check them in and out using dental practice management software.
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments with precision and professionalism.
- Handle multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries, direct calls, and provide excellent customer service.
- Manage electronic medical records and ensure all patient information is accurate, complete, and confidential.
- Assist dental providers with chairside support during procedures as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized front desk area and ensure all office supplies are stocked.
- Process insurance claims, verify patient coverage,
and explain treatment costs clearly to patients.
Requirements
- Prior experience as a dental receptionist or in a medical/dental office environment is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Epic is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and electronic medical records systems.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems confidently.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing appointments and records.
- Previous experience working with office equipment and administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with clinical staff while maintaining a positive attitude.
