About The Role
We are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team at Soucy. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and improving mechanical systems that are used in demanding agricultural and industrial environments. This position offers a unique opportunity to see your ideas come to life through tangible products that make a real-world impact.
You will manage projects from conception through to production, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for mechanics, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
Qualifications The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification or equivalent
- Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar
- Strong interest and foundational knowledge in mechanical systems and design
- Resourceful, curious, and innovative mindset
- Excellent collaboration skills and ability to meet project deadlines
Responsibilities The key responsibilities for this role include:
- Designing and modeling mechanical systems and components in 3D environments
- Developing new products and enhancing existing designs for increased efficiency and effectiveness
- Managing engineering projects from initial concept through to production and deployment
- Participating in testing phases, technical reviews, and production rollouts to ensure quality standards
- Diagnosing and solving complex technical challenges related to mechanical systems
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including R&D;, manufacturing, and quality assurance
- Documenting design processes, specifications, and technical reports for project continuity
