Mine Dewatering Operator

Schedule: 7-on / 7-off rotation | 12-hour shifts (Rotating Days and Nights)

We are accepting applications for Mine Dewatering Operators to join our team in the Fort McMurray area. This role involves setting up surface pumping systems and operating support equipment to control water levels and keep mining areas safe and operational.

Responsibilities

- Perform dewatering tasks, including pump setups, lay flat deployment, pipeline pigging, and HDPE fusing/bolt-up.
- Safely operate heavy equipment, such as excavators, loaders, and skid steers, to support site dewatering activities.
- Conduct daily Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHAs) and actively identify workplace hazards.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on dewatering equipment to ensure maximum uptime.
- Adhere strictly to legislative requirements, client standards, and company policies regarding safety and equipment operation.
- Support site operations as needed and perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Minimum of 1 year of practical experience in dewatering operations, pumping systems, or industrial water transfer is required




- Experience operating heavy equipment (Excavators, Loaders, Skid Steers) is a strong asset.
- Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
- Valid CSTS-20, CSO, or BSO certification.
- Ability to successfully pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
- Must reside within a 5-hour drive of Calgary, Leduc, or Fort McMurray.

Pay: $36.00-$44.00 per hour
