The Director, Enterprise Architecture is a strategic technology leadership role responsible for connecting business objectives, enterprise platforms, infrastructure services, cloud environments, security, networking, operations, and application development into a cohesive technology ecosystem.
This leader will serve as a cross-functional architecture authority, partnering with all technology towers to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, integrated, operationally sustainable, and aligned with the Company’s long-term technology strategy.
In addition to architecture leadership responsibilities, this role will act as a key technical orchestrator for complex, multi-disciplinary initiatives led by the PMO. The position will help align stakeholders, coordinate technical dependencies across towers, facilitate solution decisions, and ensure enterprise-wide execution alignment for strategic programs and projects.
The role requires a highly experienced technology skilled with broad enterprise architecture expertise, strong business acumen, and the ability to influence technical and operational teams across the organization. This position will work closely with Cloud, Security, Network, End User Services, Application teams, and PMO leadership to drive architecture governance, modernization initiatives, integration strategies, and enterprise-wide technology standards
Key Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the enterprise architecture strategy, standards, principles, and roadmap aligned with business and technology objectives.
- Serve as the primary architectural advisor across all technology towers and application domains.
- Drive standardization and simplification across platforms, systems, integrations, and operational processes.
- Facilitate collaboration between technical towers to eliminate silos and improve technology interoperability.
- Lead architecture discussions for enterprise initiatives, digital transformation programs, and modernization efforts.
- Partner with application teams to align software architecture with infrastructure, security, and operational standards.
- Partner closely with the PMO to support delivery of mid-to-high complexity, cross-functional technology initiatives.
- Act as the technical coordination lead for multi-disciplinary projects involving multiple technology towers and business stakeholders.
- Facilitate alignment sessions, technical workshops,
and architecture reviews to support successful program execution.
- Identify technical risks, integration gaps, resource dependencies, and architectural constraints early in the project lifecycle.
- Support project governance activities by providing technical guidance, executive-level updates, and solution recommendations.
- Support multi-year technology roadmap development across infrastructure and application domains.
- Ensure alignment with cybersecurity, compliance, risk management, and governance requirements.
- Participate in major incident reviews, root cause analysis, and strategic remediation planning where architecture improvements are required.
- Provide executive-level communication and technical leadership for complex initiatives and strategic programs.
- Influence cross-functional teams without direct authority while fostering collaboration and accountability.
- Serve as a bridge between technical delivery teams, operational teams, and project/program leadership.
- Evaluate and support enterprise AI, data, and analytics initiatives to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, infrastructure, security, and operational standards.
- Provide architectural guidance for modern cloud-native data and AI ecosystems, including compute, storage, networking, security, and integration requirements.

- Enterprise integration strategies developed for major business and technology initiatives.
- Reference architectures and solution patterns established for common enterprise technology use cases.
- Modernization opportunities identified and prioritized across infrastructure, cloud, operations, and application environments.
- Architectural recommendations developed to improve scalability, resiliency, security, and operational effectiveness.
- Architectural guidance and technology recommendations provided for AI, analytics, automation, and data platform initiatives.
- Evaluation frameworks developed for emerging technologies and strategic technology investments.
- Enterprise architecture considerations incorporated into AI and data platform initiatives to ensure alignment with infrastructure, security, and operational requirements.
Required Experience
- 12+ years of progressive experience in enterprise technology environments.
- 5+ years in architecture, technology strategy or senior technical leadership roles.
- Experience leading enterprise-scale architecture initiatives in complex, multi-team environments.
- Demonstrated experience supporting large-scale, cross-functional programs and coordinating technical delivery across multiple teams.
- Experience working in highly collaborative, matrixed organizations.
- Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure, cloud, networking, security, operations, and application environments.
- Experience driving enterprise modernization, transformation, and integration initiatives.
- Experience of engaging with executive stakeholders and business leadership teams.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong enterprise architecture and systems thinking capabilities.
- Deep understanding of hybrid infrastructure and cloud-native architecture.
- Strong knowledge of systems integration patterns and enterprise platforms.
- Knowledge of IT governance, operational frameworks, and service management practices.
- Strong knowledge of cloud-native AI and data platform architectures and their infrastructure dependencies.

Salary Range: C$165K-$180k
