Overview

DuroByte is a fast‑growing industrial automation and solutions provider delivering robotics, controls, integration, and turnkey automation projects across multiple sectors. As we expand, we are creating a dedicated Director of Operations & Delivery role to lead project execution, resource planning, and operational excellence across the business.

This role is the operational engine of the company — ensuring that what we sell is delivered accurately, profitably, and on time. You will oversee engineering, project management, field service, and delivery teams while building scalable processes that support our growth.

This position is not responsible for sales, forecasting, or channel management. Those functions are led by our Director of Sales.

Key ResponsibilitiesProject Delivery & Execution

- Lead end‑to‑end delivery of automation projects, from kickoff to commissioning.
- Ensure projects meet timelines, budgets, scope, and quality standards.
- Oversee engineering, controls, robotics, and integration teams.
- Resolve delivery bottlenecks and escalate issues proactively.
- Maintain project margin and reduce rework through strong operational discipline.

Resource Planning & Workforce Management

- Forecast resource needs based on sales pipeline and project load.
- Assign engineers, technicians, and project managers to projects efficiently.
- Manage subcontractors, integrators, and external technical partners.
- Build capacity plans to support company growth.

Operational Efficiency & Process Improvement

- Standardize workflows, documentation, and handoff processes.
- Improve project scoping accuracy and risk assessment.
- Implement operational KPIs (on‑time delivery, utilization, rework rate,



margin).
- Drive continuous improvement across operations and delivery.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

- Partner closely with Sales to ensure commitments match delivery capability.
- Work with Finance on pricing, margin, and contract terms.
- Align with Engineering on solution feasibility and timelines.
- Support customer escalations and ensure high satisfaction.

Vendor, Supplier & Partner Management

- Manage relationships with automation suppliers, robotics vendors, and integrators.
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, and service agreements.
- Ensure supply chain reliability for automation components and systems.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

- Maintain quality standards for automation builds and installations.
- Oversee safety protocols for field work and commissioning.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and customer requirements.

Qualifications

- 7+ years of experience in industrial automation, systems integration, robotics, or manufacturing operations.
- Proven leadership experience managing technical teams and complex projects.
- Robust understanding of automation technologies (controls, robotics, vision, motion, IIoT).
- Demonstrated ability to improve processes, manage resources, and deliver projects profitably.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑moving, growing company.

Compensation Competitive salary in the range of $120,000 – $140,000, plus performance‑based bonus tied to delivery KPIs.
