We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our cooks and food service staff, contributing to the overall success of our restaurant or hospitality establishment.
Responsibilities
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure that all items are properly stored after cleaning.
- Help maintain kitchen cleanliness by sweeping floors, cleaning bathrooms and taking out trash as required.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure an efficient workflow during busy service periods.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the kitchen manager promptly.
- Closing restaurant and arming alarm system.
Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is not required; we will train motivated individuals.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and sanitation standards is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with other kitchen staff members.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help others in a collaborative setting are essential for success in this role.
