Driver / Large Vehicle Operator

Location: Toronto

Contract: 3-4 Months

Schedule: Flexible shifts, including varying start and end times

Compensation: $28.00 per hour plus applicable overtime

Licence Required: Class D Licence (or equivalent)

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Driver to operate large passenger or commercial vehicles and provide safe, efficient transportation services throughout the Toronto area. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting passengers or goods, conducting vehicle inspections, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with all traffic and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

- Safely operate large vehicles in accordance with company policies and provincial transportation regulations.
- Transport passengers, equipment, or materials to designated locations while ensuring punctual and professional service.
- Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle safety and roadworthiness.
- Report mechanical issues, accidents, delays, or safety concerns promptly to management.
- Plan and follow efficient routes while adapting to traffic and weather conditions.
- Maintain accurate driving logs,



inspection reports, and other required documentation.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with passengers, clients, and the public.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety standards, transportation regulations, and licensing requirements.
- Assist with loading and unloading vehicles when required.
- Support operational needs by working flexible shifts, including overtime as necessary.

Qualifications

- Valid Class D Driver's Licence (or equivalent qualification).
- Clean driving abstract and demonstrated commitment to safe driving practices.
- Previous professional driving experience operating passenger, commercial, or large vehicles preferred.
- Solid knowledge of road safety regulations and defensive driving techniques.
- Excellent time management, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and overtime when required.
- Dependable, punctual, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
