Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated ECE Level 2 or ECE Level 3 Educator to join our team.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

- Must have experience working with preschool-aged children.
- Must have a valid driver’s licence and driving experience.
- Must be comfortable and able to drive the daycare van to transport children to and from local schools when required.
- Driving is a required part of this position and applicants must be willing to perform school drop-offs and pick-ups.

As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play an important role in providing high-quality care and creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning workplace for children.

Duties

- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and programming for preschool-aged children
- Provide a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for children to learn and grow
- Actively engage with children throughout the day
- Support children’s physical, emotional, social, and developmental needs
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Observe and document children’s progress, interests, and development
- Collaborate with other educators to create engaging classroom experiences
- Maintain accurate attendance and required documentation
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children
- Communicate professionally and effectively with parents
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom
- Drive the daycare van to transport children to and from local schools as required




- Complete school drop-offs and pick-ups safely and on time
- Follow all transportation and child-safety procedures

Required Qualifications
- Alberta ECE Level 2 or Level 3 certification
- Experience working with preschool-aged children
- Valid driver’s licence
- Previous driving experience
- Comfortable driving a daycare van with children as passengers
- Able and willing to complete school transportation duties as part of the position
- Strong understanding of early childhood development and appropriate educational practices
- Strong classroom-management and caregiving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Patient, dependable, responsible, and skilled
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Genuine passion for working with children

Please note: Driving is an essential requirement of this position. Applicants must be comfortable driving the daycare van and transporting children to and from schools when required. Pay: From $16.00 per hour
