Pay: CA$17.60 per hour
This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a competitive municipal election and learn how campaigns are organized from the ground up.
What you’ll do:
- Memorize and recite scripts to encourage voting in a professional, unbiased way
- Approach and engage with the public in a friendly and professional manner
- Be flexible to commute with your manager and team to different locations
- Attend training, with potential to lead trainings in the future
- Report to shifts in a timely manner, communicate clearly with your manager and maintain mutual respect with coworkers and your manager
- Meet quotas and goals set by the manager
- Speak with residents about the issues affecting their neighbourhoods
- Help identify supporters and build voter contact
- Assist with campaign events and community outreach
- Are able to communicate fluently in English
- Have strong communication skills and a positive work ethic
- Are able to work within a team or independently, and value feedback
- Are willing and able to approach members of the public in a fast paced environment and cover a large territory each day
- Can comfortably stand and walk for up to 6 hours a day
- Have availability for Monday - Sunday,
between 10:30am-6:30pm (15-20 hours per week)
- Are comfortable traveling within your region to canvassing turf with or without your team and manager

Who we’re looking for: You do not need previous campaign experience. We are looking for people who are reliable, hardworking, committed, comfortable speaking with the public, eager to learn, and willing to spend significant time out in the community.Evening and weekend availability is particularly valuable.
This is an excellent prospect for current students and recent graduates.
